GeoGuard® is a service for the automatic and continuous monitoring of millimeter-level movements of ground and/or structures, based on GNSS technology, delivered by GReD. The precise monitoring of the movements of critical points that represent the phenomenon of interest (e.g. landslides, subsidence, wall stability, structural deformation behavior, etc.) allows the end user to apply predictive maintenance strategies and to remotely assess the status of the asset. In general, any product or asset that may be subject to deformation, yielding, or breakage can benefit from the GeoGuard® service, which provides near real-time monitoring. Furthermore, one can check any effects caused by slow movements which, when accumulated, may trigger risks for the structure, not only in the short term but also in the medium-long term.
The Customer is supported during all phases throughout the entire project duration, from the design of the monitoring network to the installation of the sensors, to the delivery and interpretation of the results.
Alert thresholds can be defined to automatically notify anomalous situations via e-mail, SMS, or Telegram communication platforms. APIs are available to seamlessly integrate GeoGuard® results into already existing platforms used by the Customer.
GeoGuard® is currently adopted to monitor more than 200 points on highway bridges, railway bridges, dams, penstocks, retaining walls, buildings, cultural heritage sites, landslides, subsidence/uplift areas, and large civil construction sites.
