Serco Provided flood monitoring service for urban areas under Open interoperable platform for unified access and analysis of earth observation data (EOPEN) project.
The EOPEN project exploits ONDA for Sentinel data access and provide a platform to develop and deliver EO data rich services removing the need and cost to create and maintain an infrastructure for systematically processing user defined workflows.
Integrating different sources of data helped in the creation of the tool which being used to support water authorities and civil protection agencies in their need to: Monitor a flood event, Generate notifications, Make decisions, Have a holistic view of an area’s preparedness.
