The project’s goal was to design a compact imager capable of observing the Earth’s surface in the RGB spectrum. The telescope is intended to support various Earth Observation applications, including ship detection, monitoring of coastal floods and landslides, agriculture, forestry, light pollution, and urban land use, such as tracking urban changes and emergency mapping.
The imager, with a compact 1U size (10x10x10 cm), is designed to capture RGB imagery at a resolution of 8 meters per pixel from an altitude of 500 km. This small yet powerful instrument enables a range of Earth Observation applications despite its minimal size.
The payload has been fully integrated and is ready for launch, which is scheduled for the end of this year.
